CPCA Messaging Terms & Conditions 

Introduction 

Welcome to the SMS messaging service provided by the California Police Chiefs Association (CPCA). By subscribing to our SMS alerts, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read this agreement carefully before using our SMS services.

The CPCA SMS messaging service provides updates, alerts, and information relevant to members and subscribers. This service is offered voluntarily and is intended to inform you about important events, updates, and announcements.

By subscribing to our SMS service, you consent to receiving CPCA messages. Standard messaging rates and data charges from your carrier may apply, and the frequency of messages may vary. 

Opt-Out 

You may opt-out of receiving SMS messages at any time by [replying with the word “STOP” to any message you receive. Upon receipt of your opt-out request, we will promptly remove you from our SMS messaging list. 

Privacy 

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Your phone number and any other personal information you provide will be used solely to send you SMS messages as described in this agreement. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent except as law requires. 

Content of Messages 

The content of SMS messages may include but is not limited to, event notifications, emergency alerts, updates on CPCA activities, and other relevant information. We strive to ensure the accuracy of the information provided but are not responsible for any errors or omissions. 

Limitation of Liability 

CPCA is not responsible for any delays in receiving SMS messages or any other issues arising from using this service. The service is provided “as is” without warranty, express or implied. 

Modification of Terms 

CPCA reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to subscribers via SMS, effective immediately upon posting.
