Community Corner

The Community Corner is maintained by the California Police Chiefs Association (CPCA), which represents more than 330 active California police chiefs, over 300 seconds in command and more than 1,000 retired police chiefs.

Police chiefs play an intricate role in the state, responsible for not only the safety of our communities but also the accountability of their officers. As such, the perspective CPCA provides on criminal justice and policing matters is unique and strives to balance both critical interests. The information and positions of CPCA are not driven by partisanship, politics, or self-interest, but instead come from the shared goal of keeping all Californians protected and safe.
