  • Organizational Wellness & Resiliency

    The Organizational Wellness and Resiliency Committee was launched in 2020 and provides a forum to facilitate discussion, research, and review on Organizational Wellness and Resiliency strategic leadership initiatives; provide CPCA with best-in-class platform and resources to promote Organizational Wellness and to raise awareness with a focus on a multitargeted approach.

  • Professional Development & Education

    The CPCA Professional Development & Education Committee provides quality, timely and deliberate courses that will provide the knowledge, tools, and information to strengthen the capabilities of our law enforcement professionals.

  • ATS Committee

    The CPCA Annual Training Symposium Committee (ATS) is responsible for identifying potential speakers and topics for the Annual Training Symposium.

  • Law and Legislative

    The Law & Legislation Committee works with the Legislative Advocate and studies proposed legislation dealing with law enforcement issues and recommends action and/or positions on legislation to the Board of Directors. The committee also proposes new legislation to the Board and supports and monitors its progress.

  • Technology

    The Technology Committee acts as a resource to the CPCA membership in the areas of Technology by researching and reviewing law enforcement technology, providing input to the Legislative Committee on bills related to law enforcement technology and communications and identifying relevant technology topics for the annual Technology Summit.

  • Women Leaders in Law Enforcement®

    The WLLE® Committee was formed in September 2018 to formally oversee and provide support for the Women Leaders in Law Enforcement Training Symposium.

  • Member Experience Committee

    Identify and develop membership initiatives that meet the changing needs of our membership including membership campaigns; reviewing and improving member benefits, content curation for the California Police Chief Magazine, and increasing membership enrollment in the associate and affiliate categories.

  • Traffic Safety Committee

    Act as a resource to the CPCA membership in the areas of Traffic Safety, review and make recommendations on legislation introduced related to traffic safety issues, work closely with NHTSA, Office of Traffic Safety and CHP on current traffic safety issues, programs, equipment, training and activities, help develop resources for members related to traffic safety and ensure members are made aware of traffic safety grant programs.

  • Finance

    The primary purpose of the Finance Committee is to review the financial status of the Association to ensure projected expenses and revenues are on target, and to identify and implement best financial practices.

  • Political Action Committee

    Our Political Action Committee reviews Senate, Assembly, Congressional, U.S. Senate and statewide office candidates for endorsement by our Board of Directors.
